1. How does Skypoints work?
Skypoints is the premier loyalty rewards programme. The principle behind Skypoints is very simple: Register, Shop and you will be rewarded with a certain amount of points depending on the offer. These Skypoints can then be used as cash when shopping, and can be exchanged for Frequent Flyer Miles,and hundreds of gifts from our rewards catalogue.
You can choose to register as a Skypoints member by simply logging into Skypoints.cn, or by registing at our retail partners’ shop. Once you become a Skypoints member, you can collect Skypoints anytime when shopping at our retail partners by telling your member ID or mobile phone number. You can also collect Skypoints by responding to special offer emails.
You can watch the progress of your Skypoints balance in your personal account. When you have accumulated enough Skypoints why not take a look through our miles redemption, rewards catalogue and exchange them for free plane ticket or a free gift.
Yes, joining Skypoints is absolutely free. Not only will you not have to pay a thing to join but we will give you 100 Skypoints as a welcome gift. You will see it’s very quick to collect enough Skypoints to get rewards yourself.
Skypoints offers cash-out service in two ways: 1. Members can use Skypoints to buy things when shopping at certain retail partners; 2. Members can always choose from a great range of vouchers to shop or dine at selected partners.
The time limit for using Skypoints is three years since they are earned. Our goal is to develop a long-term relationship with our members. Therefore, following a long period of inactivity on your part, we will remind you of your Skypoints credit and that you can spend them on redemption. If you do not collect Skypoints or access your account for 12 months, we may cancel your membership, but we will always remind you first.
For identifying and awarding Skypoints to its members Skypoints.cn assigns cookies to each user’s account. If you use a shared computer, it is possible that the tracking cookies of other members can be stored on the computer. As Skypoints will be awarded automatically to the last active cookie it is important to make sure you have activated your own cookie by logging into your account at the start of each session.
2. Becoming a member
Becoming a member is easy and best of all it’s completely free. To register you simply need to Click here and get you started.
Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 that has internet access and a valid email address.
3. Using Skypoints
It’s simple. Why not browse the “Top Offers” on the homepage, the earning categories down the left hand side, or through the ‘free Skypoints’ section and take a look at the partners on offer.
Each partner will have a Skypoints value next to it in red which tells you how many Skypoints you will receive. Clicking on a partner will take you through to a detailed page which will give you more information on the partner and what you must do to receive the Skypoints.
If you go shopping at your selected partners, please tell them your member ID or mobile phone number for member identification. After the transaction, your Skypoints will be credited accordingly into your account within 30 days. If you do online shopping, please click “take me there’ button then you will visit that site, shop or register as you would normally on that site and Skypoints will be credited to your account automatically within 30 days.
Skypoints can also be collected by responding to special offer emails, clicking on certain banners which you will receive from time to time.
The amount of time points take are dependent upon the partner which is issuing them. Some partners will only take a couple of days to report a transaction, however, please be aware that some points can take up to 30 days but in rare cases longer than that. Unfortunately Skypoints are unable to follow up any query receipts that have been sent before the 30-day billing period has expired.
For online shopping, in order to be rewarded promptly, please ensure that if you are required to give an email address on a partner’s site that you use your Skypoints sign-up email address.
There are literally thousands of Skypoints to be collected without having to spend a penny. Check out the “Free Skypoints” section on the website for loads of easy ways to get Skypoints for free. Make sure your account is set up to receive special offers emails and you could receive 10 Skypoints for each one you respond to. What’s more, don’t forget to keep checking for special banners which will appear from time to time on the homepage.
Yes you can. For every new member that you introduce to the Skypoints programme you will receive 50 Skypoints. The first time that member goes on to make a purchase you will receive 200 Skypoints! Referring new members is easy. Go to the “Refer a friend” section by either clicking the link on the left hand side of the homepage or through the “My account” section. Enter the first name and email address of the person you wish to invite. An email will then be sent to this person telling them about Skypoints. You can keep track of your referrals in the “Friends I have recommended” section and even remind your friends to join.
Skypoints makes sure that all our partner websites are 100% secure with handling any financial information. Below are some general tips for safe shopping on the web.
- Never hand over card or bank account information if you are unsure
- Sign up to verified by Visa or SecureCode by MasterCard.
- Use a protected computer with a firewall protection if possible
- Only shop at secure websites- this can be done by looking for a padlock or unbroken key icon in the bottom corner of your internet browser.
- Make sure your internet browser has a high level of security notification.
- Always check your bank statements when you receive them.
- Don’t leave your computer un supervised while shopping online.
- Log out properly at the end of a transaction.
- Never supply personal information via email
- Beware of “phishing” emails that claim to be from your bank or lender
- Consider using an internet based credit/debit card
- Print your order once you have completed it so you always have a hard copy to hand.

4. Exchanging Skypoints for miles
There are certain Mileage programme partners to choose from. Simply visit our “Redeem Miles” section where we have a selection of mileage programmes for everyone. Please make sure you have enrolled that mileage programme as a member before you choose to redeem miles from that partner.
When you have chosen a frequent flyer miles partner in our “Redeem Miles”, click the “Redeem” button at the bottom of the partner detail page, then you will be asked to confirm your log-in and password. You will then be taken to a “ Redeem miles page” where you can redeem miles from your chosen mileage partner, where you can confirm, cancel and add more miles redemption. Once you confirm with your redemption click the “confirm” button to complete the redemption, Skypoints will be removed from your account, and email will be sent to you with details of the redemption. If you do not have sufficient Skypoints for redeeming miles you will not be allowed to redeem.
Please be aware that the earned miles may need 4-6 weeks to arrive in your mileage accounts.
Minimum 6000 Skypoints will be needed to redeem miles with any mileage partner.
You are able to redeem as many miles as you can afford with your Skypoints balance. To redeem miles from different mileage partners select the
” Redeem more miles” link at the bottom of the “redeem miles” page.
Unfortunately we cannot cancel or modify the miles redemption which we have forwarded to our mileage partners, so once the redemption has been submitted the transaction is final.
5. Exchanging Skypoints for rewards
Simply visit our “spend Skypoints” section where we have a selection of products and experiences for everyone. Be sure to check the rewards section regularly because we constantly extend our range.
When you have chosen a product in our rewards catalogue, click the “Add to basket” button at the bottom of the reward details page. If you do not have sufficient Skypoints for a reward you will not be allowed to add a reward to your basket. You may be asked to confirm your log-in and password. You will then be taken to a “ Rewards redemption page” where you can confirm, cancel or add more rewards to your order. Once you are satisfied with your order click the "Complete your order" button to be taken to a screen where you need to confirm your delivery address and enter your password one last time. Clicking on the "Confirm my order" button will then complete the order and take you to a confirmation page. Skypoints will be removed from your account, and an email will be sent to you with details of the transaction.
It is normally not possible to change or cancel the order once it has been submitted.
A minimum of 1000 Skypoints is required to collect a reward.
You are able to order as many rewards as you can afford with your Skypoints balance. To order multiples of the same reward simply change the "Quantity" field which appears underneath the reward. To order multiples of different rewards select the "Add more rewards". Please be aware that rewards may arrive at different times as different products will often be delivered by different companies.
In most cases actual delivery of rewards is handled by external suppliers although Skypoints will pay for and order the reward on your behalf. Skypoints will also remain as a contact between the supplier and customer until the reward has been delivered. Please be aware that in most cases rewards will take 14 working days (Mon-Fri) to be delivered. In some cases this can be longer.If there is a delay please notify us immediately and we will contact the supplier regarding your delivery.
Skypoints is a China based loyalty programme and we will send the rewards outside of China only according to the China customs rule.
Unfortunately we cannot cancel orders which we have forwarded to our reward suppliers, so once orders have been submitted the transaction is final. Also, it is not possible to reclaim the Skypoints by returning Rewards to the sender.
In the unlikely event that goods arrive faulty or damaged, please inform us immediately so that we can replace the item or refund your account with points. We can only refund the cost of postage with Skypoints.
6. Spend Skypoints as cash
There are only certain retail partners that you can shop with by spending Skypoints as cash. You can find thses partners in the “Spend Skypoints” section.
When you do a transaction with certain partners, they will ask you if you would like to use Skypoints to complete the transaction, or part of the transaction. The redemption rate between your Skypoints and cash will be 200 Skypoints for 1 RMB.
The minimum Skypoints you can spend as cash starts from 3000 Skypoints.
7. Problems with my account
You can access and edit your login and account details in the "Change profile" page in the "My account" section. If for some reason you are unable to edit these details to suit your needs, or are unable to access your account please contact customer services. (http://www.Skypoints.cn/support)
If you have forgotten your password Skypoints can email you a reminder. Below the login box on the right hand side of the homepage you'll find the "Username/password reminder" link. Clicking on this will activate a pop-up where you are asked to enter your email address. Your password will then be sent to you via email. If you don't know the email address that relates to your account, please contact customer services (http://www.skypoints.cn/service) with your name and postal address details so we can identify your account.
This can occur if you have set up another account by mistake and your current email address is already in use in our database. Please provide customer services (link to: http://www.skypoints.cn/service) with your current and former email address plus the passwords of the account and we will merge the accounts for you stating which account you want to keep. All non-free points will be transferred to the new account.
Firstly please ensure that you have correctly met the conditions for earning Skypoints with a given partner. These can be found on the details page of a partner under "How to earn". Skypoints can sometimes take 30 days to be credited to an account depending on the partner. Please note that we are only able to respond to missing points queries where members have waited longer than 30 days to be credited with their points.
If the correct conditions have been met and 30 days have elapsed please contact customer services using the form provided. Please include as much information on the transaction (order/account numbers, confirmation emails etc.) as possible to help us track your transaction more quickly.

8. Questions on shopping online
In the majority of cases you will not see any reference to Skypoints on our partners' sites. In some cases of partners, Skypoints will be earned and awarded to your account automatically and you must therefore ensure that you go to your chosen partner website via the Skypoints website in order for your transaction to be registered. However, in some cases of partners you will be prompted to claim your Skypoints on the order confirmation page of the partner site. Please check the detailed instructions of your chosen partners's information in the “Collect Skypoints” section.
Unfortunately we are unable to award points retrospectively in this manner. Clicking through the links is very important because without it Skypoints will not receive reports associated to the purchase or activity you've completed on the partner's site and therefore won't be able to credit you with Skypoints. Unfortunately we are unable to credit points to an account retrospectively if this process has not been followed.
If the partner was on the site at the time of your transaction (i.e. you clicked through from the Skypoints site) then yes your points will still be awarded. If however it was a partner that was previously featured on the site but was no longer there at the time of your transaction then unfortunately we will be unable to award points to your account.
9. My account
According to Skypoints.cn terms and conditions, each member is entitled to hold only one account. If you believe you have created a second account in error, please contact our members support team giving the email addresses of both accounts. Certain categories of Skypoints cannot be collected by two accounts under any circumstances and these Skypoints will be lost when accounts are merged.
In order to change your login and contact details go to the “change profile” page in the “my account” section on the site. At the top of the page there is a section based on your log-in details. To change your email login enter a new valid email address and confirm your password in the space provided, then press the confirmation button. To change your password, enter a new password in the two spaces provided and press the confirmation button. In the middle of the page there is a section based on your contact details. To change your address or mobile phone number enter a new valid email address and confirm your password in the space provided. You will receive a confirmation message at the top of the page if you are successful.

We operate a strict opt-in policy when you join the Skypoints scheme, and make it easy for you to stop receiving emails at any time with the “unsubscribe” link on all our emails. You can also unsubscribe from emails on the site by going to the “Change profile page” in the “My account” section. At the bottom of the page you will find tick boxes relating to your account settings. However, don’t forget there are hundreds of Skypoints to be collected just by responding to special offers emails.
In order to cancel your Skypoints registration, go to the “Change profile” page in the “My account” section. Click the “Cancel my Skypoints registration” link at the bottom of the page. You will then be asked to confirm your decision to cancel your registration. Please note if you choose to close your Skypoints account, it can neither be reopened nor will you be able to use its login or email address again on Skypoints. After your account has been closed, you may return to Skypoints at any time by registering with a new login and email address, however closing your account will result in all of your accumulated Skypoints being lost. If you still wish to continue click the “close my account” button.
